Addison & Sarova Auctioneer's is one of few auction houses worldwide dedicated exclusively to the sale of rare and antiquarian books.  Now an auction house which has transacted millions of dollars in rare book sales, Addison & Sarova began as rare book dealers.  Those small-business roots remain evident today in the form of attentive customer service and a more personal consignor-auctioneer relationship.  This, among other factors, is why Addison & Sarova achieves great results for its clients - from record-shattering prices to sold rates averaging around 95%.  To learn more about why selling with us is always a smart decision, click here.

Addison & Sarova combines the hospitality and expertise of the retail environment with the fast pace environment of public auctions.  We have a buying audience especially interested in rare books, and bidders may bid on the auction floor, via telephone, absentee bid, or via online bidding.  We are also one of the few auction houses who provide live audio and video broadcasts to our online bidders

Owner and principal auctioneer, Michael Addison, is a licensed auctioneer in the state of Georgia, he holds a BA in English Literature, and he has a wealth of experience as a rare book specialist and dealer.  While most auction houses "farm out" their bid-calling duties to a freelance  auctioneer, Addison insists upon doing the bid-calling for Addison & Sarova auctions himself:  "The auctioneer behind the podium should be knowledgeable about what he's selling, he should care that the bidders are treated fairly, and he should sell consigned property with the same passion as if it were his own property."

Our goal today remains the same as it always has been:  To give buyers an enjoyable experience, to provide consignors with great results, and to treat both as part of our ever-growing family.
